About the Event
Witches Leap take the dark modal sounds of wooden Irish flute uilleann pipes and bouzouki and filter them through the hanging swamps of their Blue Mountains home. Original folk-noir songs of black bushrangers and errant redcoats are cut with soaring jigs, stomping polkas and convict gospel that strikes at the heart of Australia's darker side with both humour and pathos.
Since Wolf Gordon's release of "Broken Road" in December 2017, the Illawarra local has been the subject of a significant amount of buzz with national radio play and songwriting acclaim. Performing as a trio, Wolf Gordon's live show of earthy local tales wins audiences with honesty humour and charm.
